I was traveling west to east and stop over night to stay. Very clean rooms. Super friendly staff. Both at the hotel and at penny’s diner. The diner has very good food. Definitely will be my go to place to stop again.
What an amazing Hotel met with the owner Penny who was real nice .had to check in next door at a diner called Penny's and wow its one of those old style Diners with the Booths, and the juke box playing in the background , it even got me humming Grease songs from the Movie . Oh did i mention the Food , because you cannot miss eating in this place Really good Food for breakfast and Dinner . Loved every minute of our stay , Many Many Thanks x
I loved this hotel with its small town warmth. It's a railroad hotel so it’s next to the tracks and it’s stayed in by railroad workers. I loved the little old fashioned diner that you check into the hotel at. The owner was very friendly and explained everything to me. The hotel must’ve been full. The owner told me that I could park in the back (the hotel building is a long, narrow rectangle) since my room was at the back end. There was no parking behind the hotel and the parking lot was full so I parked on the other side of the dumpster. It wasn’t a big deal. If I hadn’t been so tired, I would have tried the dinner (open 24 hours) so I can’t give a review on that. All in all it was a great hotel for the night. I have no complaints at all.
Needed to stop during a winter storm and we chose this hotel. Very happy with our choice. You'll need to check in at Penny's Diner and get a room card. Other than that, this place was a welcome surprise. It's not full of amenities, but it was warm, very clean, and smelled pleasant! There were zero issues with the room with clean carpets, walls, and beds. The bathroom was also very clean and the shower worked very well (look above the shower head for how to use it).
This one of the best places to stay!! Due to an unfortunate circumstances in our travels we had to stay in Travelodge in Missouri Valley, Iowa for a few weeks. The rooms are VERY clean. Christina the manager and her staff are awesome!! We truly felt like family while there!! We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE PENNYS DINER!! Check In is at the diner so your waitress could be your check in person too ha. The food is unbelievable GOOD!! I’m just getting to doing all my reviews and we recommend this place 100%... also, they allow fur babies!! Thanks y’all!!
the room I was was very clean. Despite being so close to Trains it was very quiet. I loved the Diner where you check in. The food was delicious, just what you'd expect from an old school American Diner. I will happily stay there again when I'm in the area.
I’ve stopped here several times, to and from Sturgis in August. Always with a reservation, never had a glitch.
Stayed here for a week and it was nice and clean and very quiet. My only complaint is that I kept having to reset my room key. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I would have no issue with staying here again.
